As a Carp specimen hunter I have fished many well known venues and being able to cast to the exact same spot every time is essential if you are going to succeed in catching that big one. There is no point spoding out 10lb of bait all over the lake and then casting your hook baits yards from where you need to be, there is a sure fire way to get your spod bait and hook bait in exactly the same spot every single time, when a friend of mine showed me this technique my catch rate improved dramatically.

Let me give you a scenario that I am sure you have all come across. You arrive at the lake and you pick you peg, the lake is well known for weed and before you can start to fish you have to find a clear area which you can spod out to and cast your hook baits to. I keep this simple, I setup one rod and cast to an area that I like the look of, before you do this pick a specific feature on the far bank, could be a tree, building or set of lily pads, anything will do, this will be your casting line, you will always aim for this line. At this point I have no rig attached just my weight. I then retrieve the weight by very slowly pulling the rod towards me, you will easily feel the weight pulling through the weed, reel in the slack line and pull the rod backwards again, when you find a clear spot you will feel the difference as the weight moves freely across the bottom, this is the weed free area, stop pulling, this is the spot you want!.

Now, you need to be able to cast to this exact spot every time, accuracy is key to your success. This is what we do now, you have your weight in the clear, weed free area, don't move it, simply get some electrical tape and put a small piece at the end of your rod tip, just wrap the tape around the line and trim off, this gives you a marker on line, so when you recast using the feature on the far bank you picked earlier you simply reel the line in until you can see that tape at the end of the rod tip, now you have your bait in exactly the same spot and distance every time you cast out!

Now do the same for your second rod, use the same method and you have two rods that you can cast out to a clear area in exactly the same spot every time!.

As you probably already know Carp fishing requires lots of bait, especially if you are on a long session and fishing through the night. you have to be able to spod your free baits out to this exact spot where your hook baits are going to be, so how do we do this? this is how.

You already have your line of cast, remember we picked the features on the far bank?, so we use the same features, that way we know we have the correct line, but how are we going to get the distance right for the spod rod, we have no tape on the line, this is what we do. Get one of the bait rods with the tape on the line, put your reel on free spin or take the bail arm off and walk up the bank with the end of the line in your hand, when you get to the tape at the end of the rod tip stop, this is the correct distance, lay the line on the ground, it will stay there as you have your weight attached. Now simply get the spod rod and do the same, walk up the bank to where you left the other line, hen you get there, don't put tape on the spod rod line just go back to the reel and clip the line up on the reel, most reels have line clips!.

Now you can cast the spod rod out and it will hit the line clip and exactly the right distance, how easy is that!.

Upon Certification with SMS/800, new Responsible Organizations (Resp Orgs) are assigned 2 test numbers from each of the active 8XX NPA's (currently 888, 877, 866, and 800). Per SMS/800, the range of numbers reserved for this purpose is 8XX-250-0000 through 8XX-250-1499.

These numbers are listed in the welcome package sent by SMS/800 representatives to each new Resp Org. Test numbers are kept in an Unavailable status, so if any 250 NXX is inadvertently spared, it will never go into the spare pool.

Resp Orgs can only use test numbers for network testing and troubleshooting purposes. Assignment of the test numbers to subscribers is inappropriate and could result in customer disruption as the guidelines for the assignment of test numbers change from time to time.

When test numbers are assigned, a partial customer record is SAVED in the SMS/800 system for each test number assigned to each particular company. A PARTIAL customer record contains some Customer Administrative (CAD) data, but does not have all of the required CAD information.

A RespOrg can modify these PARTIAL customer records to satisfy their testing needs as follows:

1. Change CAD Data - modify any field to meet your testing requirements.

Debunking organic food and saying that buying organic was not worth it was the focus. The article was well designed to make the reader believe that all organic food is a scam and that you should just relax and keep eating the same way you are eating. Diane Brady, senior editor at BusinessWeek, reports the fact that large food corporations are now trying to cash in on the organic food movement and creating and promoting organic brands at your local supermarket. Assuming that everyone shops at supermarkets, Ms. Brady only makes one negative reference to hippies with Birkenstocks, wilted, rotten produce and co-ops.

You will not find very much good, healthy, food at any major supermarket anyway, just aisle after aisle of processed snack foods, soft drinks and cereals. The health food or organic produce is usually relegated to a small section and I question even the quality of these products based on the way major supermarkets buy. Supermarket buyers are always trying to buy products cheap to manage there departments efficiently and pass on the savings to you. Sounds good right? Wrong. What this means is it is always about the money and rarely about the food quality or about your health.

Take charge of your health and do some shopping at your local Health Food Store or Co-Op where they care about your health and make conscientious decisions when they do there buying. Yes, it is more expensive, but not as expensive as chronic diseases like diabetes, cancer, obesity or heart disease brought on by a lifetime of poor diet choices. It is amazing to me how much money people will spend on their car or their home but balk at the idea of increasing there food budget. We have gotten used to living on cheap, unhealthy, convenient food in America and this is our downfall and the cause of our diseases. Pharmaceutical companies will continue to prosper because they have many new drugs to help you after you get sick.

The two biggest helpful things that I started doing were to shop primarily in health food stores and avoid the news media. Take a closer look and I think you will probably start to see what is true and what is biased.

They appoint one member of the tea club to collect the cash, buy the tickets and collect whatever winnings come their way. Organizing a syndicate is pretty simple. I have organized several at the office, getting between ten and twenty people participating each time.

The first step is to define the rules of participation. These should be clearly written out, understood and accepted by all participants. There have been incidents where unhappy members of a syndicate have ended up suing each other over jackpots won and not divided as agreed. There is nothing that spoils a tea club more than having the members fighting and suing each other. (He stole my money Im going to sue him to death - pass the sugar please)

How much will each participant contribute? A simple decision here is that each member should contribute the equivalent of the price of a lottery ticket., but the members may wish to contribute more or not be able to contribute as much as others. The rules of contribution should be clearly defined, especially where a member indicates they wish to contribute but fails to pay up.

The rules of division are perhaps more important than the rules of contribution or certainly closely linked. The amount contributed to the ticket pool should determine the amount received from the winning pool in the event of a win. However there may be other considerations. The members can agree to contribute a percentage to a cause such as a charity in the event of a win. This can make the participation in the syndicate more noble than simply going for the gold. (I not only won a million, but I gave a hundred bucks to charity)

Following on this is the question of what numbers to play. Each member may contribute their own set of magic numbers to be played. This becomes difficult for the member responsible for buying the tickets. Alternatively the members may agree to play quick pick numbers on every line that is purchased. Personally I have always used the quick pick method.

A member of the syndicate chosen by the members or perhaps the organizer then collects the members contributions and is responsible for purchasing the tickets. Members should be provided with copies of the tickets or at least the ticket numbers. I have always made photo copies of the tickets and given each member a copy. This gives them the chance to meditate and pray over the numbers and try to influence the outcome of the lottery. (Dear God, let numbers 6,9,13,27,37,45 be the winnings numbers this week)

Apart from organizing a syndicate for pure personal financial gain there is also the possibility of organizing a syndicate for the benefit of a club, charity or other organization. The contributing members agree to contribute a portion or perhaps all of the winnings to the cause. They still enjoy the excitement of playing the lottery and hoping to make a significant contribution to whatever the cause may be. This works well in a club or pub situation where members may drop their change in a jar and on lottery night the contents of the jar is used to purchase a ticket or tickets in the lottery for the benefit of the club or charity.
