One of the most difficult things about working at home is scheduling a proper fitness routine. If you are a Work At Home Mother and are having to contend with kids, housework and running a business too, you will have to make a special effort to schedule some exercise into your day. I find the best way of doing so is to squeeze in as many five minute bursts of activity as I can, either with the kids or without, and to try to make them fun too.

If the kids are at home:

Put the baby in the pushchair and the kids on bikes or scooters and take a brisk walk around the block. Getting outside into the open air will improve everybody's state of mind and mood. Walk fast to exercise your cardiovascular system (and keep up with the kids!) and you will return home feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Have a five minute tidy up! Set the kitchen timer, put some music on, and get everybody running around the house to pick up toys, books, clothes and shoes and return them to their proper places. Make it fun and the kids will enjoy it and willingly join in. Make it fast and you might even improve your fitness too!

What is the weather like? Can you take the kids out into the yard (garden) for a five minute run-around? Run races, do some star jumps, and just mess around. Make it a daily event, and vary the routine to include walking and running on the spot, skipping, star jumps, stretches and bends, making faces, shaking out your fingers and toes - whatever you and the kids will enjoy!

During school term time:

Walk the kids to and from school. Can you jog or run home afterwards? If you live too far away from school to walk, perhaps you could park a little way away and walk the last bit (which will help you avoid school congestion too).

If the kids are at school and you are rushing to get something done before the school day ends, you can spend far too much time in your office and quickly get stale! Sometimes you just have to force yourself to take that break. even if end-of-school is looming. Try walking out of the front door with watch in hand and time yourself for 2.5 minutes. Stop, turn around, and go back home again. You will feel much better for it and be refreshed when you sit back down at your desk.

If you have time on your own:

Break your day up - and make sure that you plan your breaks in advance. I keep it simple by scheduling a five minute break every hour. If I am very engrossed in a project I sometimes set a beeper to remind me! I have a list of five minute activities to do and during a full work at home day I will probably achieve 6 or 7 of them.

Do you have stairs? Climb them! Time yourself and keep going for five minutes, no less. If you don't have stairs, buy a mini-step machine. They don't cost much, are easy to store in a corner, and they work!

No time to get out and about? Stretch! I have a card on the wall behind my monitor with the word "STRETCH!" printed on it in huge letters. When I get involved in a project I sometimes hardly look up from my keyboard and monitor for hours - but when I do, and notice the card, I remember to stand up, stretch everything out and take a 5-minute breather. Try standing about two feet away from your desk, bending at the waist and placing your hands on the edge of the desk to help support your body. Hold for thirty seconds and then stand up straight and take several deep breaths. Repeat twice more. Stretching out your back like this help release tension in the spine and shoulders. Shake out your arms and fingers, then your feet; stretch up tall and then touch your toes and do whatever else it takes to ease out those kinks!

Keep some tennis balls in a desk drawer and squeeze one in each hand as hard as you can for 10 second bursts. This is a great exercise to do when you have been typing for too long. Take those same tennis balls and roll them around under your feet (taking your shoes off first!) This is almost ridiculously pleasurable! (Tip: keep the tennis balls hidden away and out of reach to prevent them mysteriously disappearing from your office and reappearing in the car, garden or toy cupboard).

Try a five minute resistance band workout. Resistance bands are cheap, easy to store, and effective - and can be used to exercise many different areas of the body. Follow the instructions that come with the resistance band for a quick exercise routine - or try a search on Google for ideas. You can achieve quite a lot in five minutes with these.

Dumbbells are another good investment for a quick exercise routine. Get a range of weights and a storage rack, but make sure that they are stored safely away from children, who should NEVER play with them. Learn a quick dumbbell routine for the arms, back and shoulders. Personally I love bicep curls - they make me feel powerful! Find your favorite exercise and schedule it into your day.

Finally - and I hesitate to mention this one - a five minute stint of housework can break your work routine and, if you do it energetically enough - can be part of your fitness regime! I try to make these little spurts of housework into a time challenge and I schedule them into my day. For example, on Thursdays at 11.00am I might strip the beds. First, I open up ITunes and put one of my favorite tracks on. Then I run round like a mad thing trying to strip down 3 sets of beds, get the first lots of sheets into the washer and sit back down at the computer before the track ends. It may sound silly, but it makes housework a little more fun and less of a chore. A five minute sweep, vacuum or mop, if done energetically, can count towards your daily exercise and make you feel virtuous and house-proud too!

Do you ever wonder what goes on in a federal prison camp? What does an inmate do all day? As a former federal prison camp inmate I will give you a brief overview of one camp and then you can decide for yourself, is this punishment or is it just a vacation.

First let me begin with the housing arrangement. Use your imagination and picture a large empty warehouse building with heating and air conditioning, add 64 bunk beds with a locker and chair next to each one. Then add three offices one for a correctional officer and the other two for administrative use, one recreation supply room, one exercise room with four pieces of equipment, laundry room with eight washers and dryers plus an ice machine, three closed in TV rooms with a larger TV in the open, fourteen private showers with plenty hot water and a large restroom with a separate lavatory area.

Second is the food service. Breakfast was from 6:00 am every morning weekdays and 7:00 am on weekends with food ranging from fruits, cereal and milk to prepared eggs with toast. Lunch was always schedule for 11:00am and dinner at 4:00 pm with a menu that consisted of a simple peanut butter sandwich and hot dog to baked turkey with all the trimmings. The food quantity is abundant and quality was like at a university or school cafeteria.

Third was an assigned work details. The work mainly assigned to inmates consisted of maintaining the federal prison camp and high security prison next door from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays with an hour lunch. Work was first assigned to those with specific skills. For example a mechanic worked in the garage maintaining the fleet of government vehicles, a welder was assigned to the welding shop for institution needs, someone skilled in heating and air was assigned to the maintenance department, and those with computer and administrative skills would work in education, administration or on a computer. The other work details ranged from food service to janitorial or landscaping to warehouse workers. Did you know that inmates were paid and hourly wage for their work? A prison inmates income in the federal prison camp usually ranges from a few dollars to over a hundred per month depending on the work detail they are assigned to.

Fourth is recreation and leisure time. After seven hours of work and afternoon dinner every inmate spends time on their own interest or just relaxing. Inmate activities consisting of watching TV all night, drawing and painting in the art room, leather craft, reading and writing in the library, listening to music or watch educational materials provided by the prison camp administration, walking around the track, exercise, play recreational sports like basketball, soccer, handball, flag football, baseball, volleyball or ping pong, some take time to do laundry, taking a nap or playing cards and dominos with other inmates.

Fifth is weekend visitation. Families are allowed to visit their loved ones from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. Visitation takes place in an open area where everything is visible and usually only one correctional officer is monitoring the visit. Up to five family members can visit with an inmate for the entire time and on some occasions with permission more than five. It looks like a big family reunion with all the kids playing and adults talking.

Sixth is religion. Every inmate is free to worship whatever faith they follow. Federal prison chaplains are available to see that time and schedules are set aside for inmates to worship. Volunteers and church groups visit often to provide church services and bible studies to inmates.
Seventh is the medical facility. If an inmate was to get sick or hurt a medical team is on staff to handle any situation as well local hospitals for emergencies.

Finally there is the commissary. This is provided to inmates once every week where they can shop and purchase any variety of items from chips and candy to multi vitamins, stamps and birthday cards to over the counter medication. The commissary is similar to the mini-marts you stop to get gas and with similar prices. So if an inmate is unhappy with a particular menu that day he can always fall back on a microwavable dish from the commissary and TV watching always goes better with a hot bag of buttered popcorn.

Working in a home-based business takes dedication to its setup and maintenance, to run smoothly. Whether you work for a large company as a home agent or fully on your own, its important to train yourself to use time wisely and efficiently. Having worked independantly both for corporations and for myself, here are some tips I use to stay focused and organized, despite distractions.

First of all, create a comfortable office for yourself. But not too comfortable, or you won't want to work. For example, I bought a big, cushy massage recliner for my desk chair, to go with my big mahogany desk. They both took up the whole room. Being the supervisor in sales for a large corporation from home, I close sales other salespeople can't. But, during the period of time when the overly comfortable recliner was in my office (about a month), my sales plummeted. My best guess is that my motivation was lessened by the fact that the chair was too darned comfortable. That must be why there are so many office chairs that are not all that comfortable but are popular. So, I went and bought a normal executive chair which reclined somewhat, but wasn't overly fancy. That did the trick. My sales went back up to par and stayed there. The recliner is now in the living room, where it belongs.

Make sure the room where your office is, is large enough. I moved my huge desk into another room to give more space, since the room it had been in was too small for it. Now, with room to move, space to work in and a chair that keeps me from getting too comfortable, I'm in business.

Another issue that can matter in the home office environment is knicknacks. Working in corporate headquarters previously, I saw cubicles decorated in every way. Each person has whatever works best for them. Some tape trolls to the top of their monitors, there should be a law against this, in my mind. One time I was working at someone's desk who had far too many chotchkes and picture frames. Every time I turned around, something fell over. Thank goodness I was only there an hour, but it wasn't the most productive hour, due to having to tiptoe around her stuff. But hey, whatever floats your boat for maximum work effectiveness, some don't mind working this way. Find what works for you. I have a few things on my desk for motivational purposes, including my cat, who refuses to leave my desk alone. But, it's not cluttered to the point that work suffers. It's all about usability, is your desk arranged in an efficient way so you can get to supplies and papers quickly, if needed? Working on the phone and computer, this is important for me.

A contributing factor to working at home is family interference. If you have children, you know what I'm talking about. Teach everyone to leave you alone during work time, unless there is a true emergency to attend to. Hire a sitter, if need be. During work time, keep your office door closed. The idea is to focus, and it is easier to focus in peace, free from distractions. If your pets are distracting, they too must stay outside the room. My cat sleeps under my lamp, so I'm lucky. If he wakes up and begins stomping all over the computer keyboard, I put him out in the living room, and close my door. Loud pets can be disruptive, especially if you work on the phones like I do. It doesn't hurt the loud pet to be out in the garage or another part of the house while you work. Or, feed the animal, then he's too busy eating to be in your office making noise. Be creative in ways to find distractions for those who distract you, in advance of work time. So when you are working, you don't need to stop and figure it out then.

Also, turn off cellphones, and tell friends not to call you during work time. Then, keep this boundary. If they call, tell them you'll call back after work or on a break. It's tempting to get sidetracked by others, but they interfere with making money by interrupting you during time you've allotted for business. This is hard, I know, but a necessary issue to keep you focused and serious about your work.

Take breaks, especially if you feel stressed. It's a proven fact that working straight without breaks makes the quality of work go down. So, when you need a break, take one. Get up and do something relaxing. Or, if nothing else, go get some coffee. Then, your mindset will be more positive and refreshed when the break is over. Quality work is important, more than quanitity. I am a workaholic and work ten or more hours a day. So, I take a lot of short, 5-minute breaks for mental rejeuvenation(coffee helps me for a physical boost) to keep everything on track.

Dress for work in business casual attire, not in pajamas, when working from home. It keeps me in a more professional mindset and reminds me that I have real work to accomplish, not just some chore to get out of bed to do. Maybe later, when your business is fancier and you have more freetime, you can change your working ways, but in the building and maintenance of a small business, it pays to be more disciplined and businesslike.

By taking your work seriously, planning your office, time and tasks, working at home is a snap. It just takes a little re-training of values, and some patience but it becomes comfortable to have structure after awhile. Just make sure to stop to smell the coffee, here and there, to maintain your concentration and drive. Owning a business is all about drive, logic and persistence. Many successful entrepreneurs work most of the time and make good use of their limited time. People I know like this enjoy what they do, because they've figured out how to make it work for them. Natural ingredients versus synthetic ingredients are a very controversial topic amongst those who use nutritional supplements for the maintenance of their health. Despite the fact that most eels are predators, many people consider them like the right choice for a home aquarium. However, eels are also a perfect catch for anglers, consisting of 4 suborders of the Anguilliformes with 19 families, 110 genres and near 400 different species.

Anguillidae is the suborder of freshwater eels, but there are also Heterenchelyidae, Chlopsidae (false morays), Myrocongridae, Moringuidae (worm eels), and Muraenidae (moray eels). Following the Mississippi's tributaries, including the Minnesota, Saint Lawrence Seaway, and Saint Croix rivers, anglers can find them profusely in the area, and sometimes in Lake Superior. Freshwater Females Eels swim all the way up the Mississippi River from the Gulf of Mexico to reach Minnesota for reproduction.

When eels are not migrating, it is easy to find them in medium to large size lakes and streams with quiet waters and muddy bottoms. Eels are more active at night, so they need the mud or underwater objects to be hidden during the day. Freshwater American eels live longer, and there is reference of captive eels living as long as 88 years.

Female eels of the Juvenile American specie grow larger than the males, nearly 3 feet (90 cm), although some records include eels as big as 5 feet (150 cm). Male eels do not grow longer than 1.5 feet (50 cm). In the wild, the is no evidence of how long freshwater eels live, but females spend from 10 to 20 years in the American rivers to mature and then they return to the oceans or die after breeding once.

Freshwater American eels are predators that feed at night, usually all types of meat they can find including insects, frogs, crayfish, snails, fish, and earthworms, although other predators seek eels as their meal such as cormorants, walleye, herons and mergansers, and sometimes land animals such otters and minks.

In the eastern United States, the American eels are harvested commercially, with a modest market of consumers. There is no a special concern status in Minnesota to preserve them. American eels probably have to fear to natural enemies: anglers in freshwater and sharks when they return to the ocean.

Cut Back on Words

Check Your Results
If you arent getting good results, you need to redesign and rewrite your ad. However, remember that if it aint broke, dont fix it. If its working and you are gaining in your web traffic and sales, dont mess with a good thing. If you do think your quick PPC advertising can improve, though, rather than revamp the whole thing you can always just tweak here and there.
