Male Hair Loss and DHT

Male hair loss is an extremely common problem, as almost every man experiences at least some sort of hair loss before the age of 40. It is caused by an increased sensitivity to androgens, which are male hormones, and although most male hair loss problems are hereditary or genetic, there are those cases in which the hair loss is temporary, for instance when it is stress or medication that is causing the hair loss.

The Details

Male hair loss can be caused by a variety of things, depending on the person and their particular situation. In general however most hair loss is not associated with any systemic or internal disease or has to do with a lack of nutrition. Thyroid disease is a common cause of hair loss, but more than anything genetics play a major role. Treatment

There are various treatments available for male hair loss, and for the alopecia areata condition in particular, typically treatment involves injecting steroids into the affected patches of skin in order to stimulate hair growth in the patient. However this method of treatment is truly not practical for large areas and so if there is a significant amount of hair loss you may have to go for other treatments, such as oral steroids or ultraviolet light therapy.

Male Pattern Baldness

Male pattern baldness is another common male hair loss problem, and this is a genetic disorder as well, and so although there is nothing that you can do to actually stop the hair loss, there are ways to treat and control it.

Male hair loss can be incredibly damaging to a mans self esteem, and it can even be so serious that it can cause depression. This is why if you have a hair loss problem you need
